This configuration utilizes a central power supply and hidden wiring between the existing nurse call corridor light and the DPX-M headwall location. Typically a low cost CAT-5 communications cable is run between the headwall and the existing nurse call corridor light. Also a "home run" cable is pulled from the existing nurse call corridor light to a central power supply location. Ideally an electrical closet.
